Chomolungma UNESCO Centre (CUC) previously Chomolungma UNESCO Club (and amended in 1999) is a non profit, non-government organization which is fully pledged to the high ideals of UNESCO which is a special branch of the United Nations (UN). It was established in 1991 with the initiative of persons from different walks of life like artists, journalists, students, housewives, teachers and UNESCO activists. It was duly registered with the Chief District Office (CDO), Kathmandu in 1994 according to the Social Institution Act, 2034 B.S.

CUC is also affiliated to the Social Welfare Council, Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, HMG and the National Federation of UNESCO Clubs in Nepal (NAFUCIN), the umbrella organization of all UNESCO organizations in Nepal.

CUC is for young and enthusiastic people, just like you. CUC is a platform where people from different walks of life come together for a common purpose of service to the society. Through our programmes, we help people interact, socialise and unite for a common purpose.

How does it benefit?

The programmes carried out by CUC has international as well as governmental recognition. At CUC, one just does not work, but gets better learning and socializing opportunities. One learns the spirit of teamwork, cooperation and gain experiences working with CUC.
